OREGON - MT HOOD, MOODY PANORAMA

In 2021 my husband and I backpacked the 40 mile Timberline Trail around Mount Hood. This was what I called the “moody side” of the mountain. There was a storm rolling in that turned the sky shades of gray with lots of wispy clouds whirling around the peak. The colors in this photo have almost a monochromatic feeling - lush dark forest greens surrounded by steel colored rocks and sand. Can you spot the waterfall? That’s my favorite detail in this photo.
